Week 19: We’re going public

It’s all happening. 9 months of lead up, to learn, build and figure out what we’re doing and how to make it as best as can be. And now, I’m finally ready to share it with you publicly.

I started documenting this journey in January because I wanted to share it with anyone building something of their own, in tech, fashion, or any other business honestly, because most of what I’ve learned as a founder transcends a specific industry. And there’s been a lot: the eight-week accelerator I put myself through this past summer, building alongside a co-founder who leads the technical side while I run operations, sales, and everything else CEO, and constantly putting myself in rooms to expand my network to set myself up for the best shot ahead of launching.

To be clear, we have NOT learned everything. Not even close. This is phase one, and teeing up for our beta launch is exactly where we’re at.

Which brings me to today.

There’s still a lot of work ahead. On the pre-seed side, we’re about to kick off the raise, and that’s when the real grind starts. On the brand partnership side, we’re onboarding partners so we’ve got the best inventory across the markets we’re targeting. And on the customer acquisition front, it’s about getting enough people using and interested in the platform that we’ve got real traction for investors and real customers generating revenue for our partners.

Quite a lot still to be done. But step one, is where you come in, which is the WAITLIST.

This is for you if you love fashion and rental but haven’t quite figured out how to access it easily. And it’s for you if you already rent, already love it, and just want to rent more, better, easier. And the best part is, it’s for you wherever you live in the world (I know right). We’re going global baby!!

This isn’t a “sign up and we’ll email you eventually” waitlist. Being on it gets you first access when we open the doors, before the general public, and helps us gauge who is interested and from which regions.

So what exactly are we building? I’ll save the rest for closer to launch — but in short, we’re building the world’s first discovery tool for fashion rental.
